The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced a Clean Air Act program that will seriously reduce carbon emissions. It’s called the Clean Power Plan and it’s the first of its kind.
Currently, there are no national limits on carbon emissions at American power plants. The Clean Power Plan would change that by requiring power plants to reduce carbon emissions by 30% by 2030.
That 30% reduction is equivalent to the annual emissions produced from powering over half the homes in America!
Last month, AMC staff scientist Georgia Murray spoke in favor of the new plan at hearings in Washington, DC.
Now, it’s your turn to lend your voice.
